Providing your feet with optimised comfort across changing terrains and adventurous trails, the Timp 5 GORE-TEX utilise a waterproof GORE-TEX upper. The materials are highly breathable to prevent overheating and allow a constant supply of airflow to travel through the shoes, reducing the risks of sweat and moisture build-up. Alongside this, the materials work to keep feet dry from wet and changing weather, by preventing water from entering the garment, therefore helping to reduce the risks of wet, soggy feet. Altra's Standard FootShape toe box encourages the toes to relax and spread naturally, whilst allowing the big toe to remain in a straight position. This construction also enhances stability during uphill ascents and downhill descents when traversing the trails. The shoes have abrasion-resistant overlays that are placed in high-wearing areas, particularly across the toes, to prevent damage during knocks and bumps. A traditional lace-up construction, for a close, locked-in fit, preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring. Working alongside this is a cushioned tongue and collar which reduces the risks of irritation or chafing.
