Synthetic Leather Upper
Designed to provide durable comfort, the upper of the ASICS Gel-Peake Hockey Shoes has been constructed using a synthetic leather. The upper ensures a wide range of protection so you can gain the maximum from their footwear. The soft, durable leather ensures long-lasting comfort yet provides ample protection from loose debris and rocks. The durable nature of the leather minimises the risks of wear and tear leaving you with a shoe you can truly rely on. Perforations also exists within the upper to provide added ventilation so you will never feel overheated. The perforations allow cool air to flow throughout whilst, at the same time, allowing hot humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Reinforcement panels at the sides offer better midfoot support. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA MidsoleA full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Completing the midsole is ASICS's signature rearfoot gel cushioning which works to reduce shock from harsh landings and abrupt braking.
Durable Rubber OutsoleDesigned using a durable rubber outsole, the Gel-Peake creates a durable finish with incredible stopping power on all types of pitches. The tough rubber compound is used at the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. As well as this it can create a strong bond with any ground beneath it, helping you stay in full control. As well as this, the outsole also incorporates flex grooves for better flexibility during agile movements and pivoting. The flex grooves support multidirectional movements and offers great grip so you can dribble, pass and shoot with ease. The multidirectional outsole has an abundance of lateral support for side-to-side movements so you can cut and change direction with ease.
