Breathable Mesh Upper
Developed to provide breathable comfort, the Brooks Cascadia 18 have been constructed using an updated breathable mesh upper. Perforations within the fabric allow cool air to flow throughout whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. Overlays feature in high-wear areas to protect against uneven surfaces while a transparent mudguard works to protect the feet against trail debris so you can continue with complete comfort and confidence. A traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement while the heel pull tabs assist in putting the shoes on and off.
DNA Loft v2 MidsoleDNA Loft v2 resides in the midsole of the Cascadia 18 to offer exceptionally soft and comfortable cushioning. It carries the foot well and moulds itself to the shape of your foot, allowing it to fully support the curvature of the underfoot. The new DNA Loft v2 midsole is a cushioning technology that is soft and comfortable. Having cushioning and support helps to lessen the impact placed upon your joints as well as attenuate shock, minimising the potential risk of injury or discomfort. A protective and propulsive rock plate also features in the midsole to protect against rocks or debris.
TrailTack Green Rubber OutsoleThe outsole of the Cascadia 18 has been engineered using a TrailTack Green rubber and high surface-area lugs provide outstanding uphill and downhill traction, even on slippery surfaces. The outsole consists of 25% recycled materials for a more eco-conscious choice. The durable, resilient non-skid rubber delivers optimal grip and traction, ideal for technical trails where unpredictable terrain is highly prevalent. Completing the outsole are outsole pods that respond to uneven ground to offer exceptional grip and traction.
