However, this rug was made by the weavers who continue to weave rugs in a primitive way on flat wooden looms that lay on the ground. The wool used in this rug comes from their own sheep and is washed and naturally dyed in their villages. As a result of purchasing this rug, you are supporting the local community and creating jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so.
