These rugs are made by Mahmood Alam and his family. They are hand-knotted in their own homes, and everyone in the family helps out in the process of rug making, from his wife, Shakiba, to the youngest daughter. They process the wool, themselves in their home, prior to making the rugs. All washing, spinning and dyeing of the wool are done in their home.
