This particular rug was handcrafted by the Hazara tribe weavers. With regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning, this rug will remain looking new for many years. The majority of the weavers are women living in Afghan, Pakistani and Indian villages. Through our rug production, we are able to create jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. In addition to this, the local farmers benefit from wool sales while local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. Please note that slight variations in color, size, and design are a result of the artisan's skillful handcrafting. Color discrepancies may also occur between this product and your computer screen.
