Developed to provide durability and breathability, the Targhee IV has been constructed using a waterproof Nubuck leather and performance mesh upper. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects and minimises the risks of wear and tear whilst the performance mesh allows the feet to breathe by increasing ventilation. The lightweight mesh provides breathable comfort to ensure you remain cool and comfortable. The mesh allows cool air to flow through the shoes' upper while allowing built-up heat to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. Keen Dry technology is also incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture which is inevitable during exercise. The breathable membrane wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of KeenDry keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worst. Designed with Fit-Iconic KEEN Fit the shoes deliver a comfortable feel across the forefoot allowing your toes to spread out comfortably, enabling easy footing as you explore. The shoes feature a padded tongue and collar that enhances comfort for all-day wear. Keeping the shoes fresh Keen has incorporated Eco Anti-Odour, into the upper helping to reduce the build-up of bacteria, keeping your feet feeling and smelling fresher even after those long walks. Completing the upper is a lacing system made with 100% recycled laces, which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage. The midsole compound provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve the level of your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. The Keen Luftcell midsole is infused with nearly 100,000 micro air bubbles per cubic centimetre making this compound highly cushioned and supportive. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. The upper and the midsole have been connected through KEEN.FUSION, this fuses the upper to the sole without glue for a longer-lasting bond that's better for the planet, letting you get the most out of the shoes. A removable Luftcell insole also features within the midsole to provide increased comfort and support as soon as you step into the shoes. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. Completing the midsole is an internal stability shank which delivers lightweight support and reduces the chance of ankle rolling or injury by providing a bit more stability to the foot whilst on uneven terrain.
