The Re-Run Pineapple 2.0 from Mercer Amsterdam combines two successful concepts: Mesh made from recycled plastic bottles and vegan pineapple leather. More specifically, the upper is made from pineapple leaves sourced from local pineapple farmers in the Philippines, providing them with an additional income and replacing animal-based ingredients with plant-based ones.- Upper: Piñatex 72% PALF (pineapple leaf fiber), 18% PLA (polylactic acid) 10% organic PU- Mesh: 100% recycled polyester, Global Recycled Standard- Insole: 100% recycled EVA- Outsole: 95% recycled rubber, 5% natural rubber- Midsole: 65% bio-based EVA from sugar cane, 35% EVA- Lining: 100% recycled polyester- Laces: organic cotton (100%)
