I consider myself a very responsible man, generous and persevering, above all, I think that despite all the difficulties, he always You can get ahead and overcome difficult times. Without a doubt one of the darkest moments of my life was growing up without my father since he passed away when I was only 2 years old and it was my mother who did the work of father and mother while she with her strength her work He taught me the true values of life from the work of love and he made me a good man, he gave everything for me, I think that life would not reach me to thank him infinitely. I learned how to carve stone from a friend. At the same time, I taught my son and many of my workers the art of stone carving. When one of my artisans leaves to start his own workshop, I am very proud. It means that the stone art of Peru will live. The stone carving records the history of Peru and the Andes. Although now we use machinery to give life to our drawings by hand . the stories told by the stones and the motifs we incorporate have been with us since pre-Inca times. I have been carving semi precious stones for more than 30 years, at first I traveled to the mines but then I began to carve some leftover pieces, it was thanks to a dear friend who taught me and since this happened I think I never stopped practicing being curious to explore shapes and designs awakened in me the artist of the soul. It was not an easy task, a job of high precision in the details required a lot of concentration effort day by day, the years have given me a great experience have taught me that only with a firm step and with perseverance the objectives are achieved. What I like most about my art is being able to play with all the color ranges, the incredible combinations of these natural stones, I love that the stone can be manually transformed into sculptures and everything that I can imagine translating it into the different stones is for me the most beautiful charm. My inspiration comes from what I love in nature in the life of animals, the beautiful landscapes of the Andes. All this energy source is what I capture in my art. One of my dreams is to be able to continue growing with my family, May God give me a lot of strength to continue working and carving the beautiful natural stones since I work with Peruvian semi precious stones, which have been used since the time of our ancestors, since pre-Columbian times, many of them worked the art of carved in stone and they used stones such as chrysocolla, which we can see in our museums today. Likewise, utensils carved in stone have been found. On the other hand, in Peru we have the tradition of being guided by the energies that semi precious stones offer in their different forms, natural or carved."
