Engineered Mesh Upper
Providing you exemplary levels of breathability and comfort, the shoes have an engineered mesh upper, meaning a constant supply of fresh, cool air is provided to your feet to keep you comfortable and cosy on the move. The upper is made from a polyester blend that has been made from 70% recycled content. Targeted reinforcements are placed around the foot, keeping your foot stable and secure in the shoes. This combination of materials is provided in a one-piece upper meaning irritation and chafing are prevented for the optimal level of in-shoe comfort. Not only this, but this construction provides you with exceptional support during racing, alongside a padded tongue with small cutouts, the shoes have high levels of comfort and additional breathability. The shoes have a race-specific fit, meaning secure friction is provided, keeping you focused when competing and during serious running endeavours. Finally, a traditional lace-up closure, ensures you have a secure, locked-in fit, helping to prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring and keeping you comfortable.
Advanced Midsole and OutsoleOn's Helion super foam makes up the shoe's midsole, a double layer of this compound provides high rebound and energy return keeping you feeling fresher for longer when you are putting the miles in. The midsole reacts according to your movements, compressing horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should providing you with nonstop comfort all day long. The shoes have been designed with rocker geometry, with this technology a unique fulcrum effect is created like a rocking chair, which encourages a guided gait cycle for a more efficient run. Sandwiched between the upper and the midsole is the Speedboard, a full-length carbon-infused plate designed to harness the energy you generate while on the move and turn it into momentum. The plate bends and flexes with your run, to propel you forward, faster assisting you when hitting those PBs.
The Cloudboom Echos have a high-performing rubber outsole to provide you with excellent grip and traction, allowing you to take hold of the road. The rubber compound is placed in carefully engineered geometry which helps to increase ground contact, providing maximum efficiency in wet conditions.
