Wild At Heart Sculpted Brass Earrings are an homage to the mysterious, abstract films of David Lynch and especially his obsession with love. A sculptural, abstract heart in brass dangles from a single thin silver blackened hoop. The heart is a mirage. Twist it around and you’ll see four of them finish with a shiny dagger cutting through the centre. The pair is asymmetric and the heart dangles from one hoop. The thin front hoops are handmade with recycled sterling silver and blackened with patina. The black is blackish and not solid so you get subtle tones of dark grey coming through. And the hoops are exactly perfect circles. They have a bit of soul. Made with recycled Brass, which may not suit all skin types. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and can tarnish over time, this is due to the copper portion of the metal reacting to air and moisture, a process known as oxidation. This can result in greenish or blueish hues on jewellery. We coat our pieces with a wax to keep tarnishing and irritation to a minimum. We also supply you with a small amount of wax and a cloth so that you can upkeep the shine. Just apply the wax all over, leave for 5 minutes and rub off in a circular motion with the polishing cloth. Store your brass pieces in a cloth pouch, avoid wearing them in water and be careful with lotions and creams that can further tarnish the surface.
