Orrifinn Jewels Women's Gold / Silver Braid Necklace - Double Thin Braid
Description
Braid – A unisex jewelry collection by Orrifinn Jewels Humans have made braids for thousands of years. In the past, the braid was a means of communication, worn to express status, membership of the tribe, or as a sign of marriage. Often they have been invested with great meaning. For Native Americans they are a symbol of oneness and harmony, and each lock is thought of as the past, the present and the future. Children still braid bracelets for each other as a token of friendship and generosity, and a braided lock of hair is often kept as a memento – whether of childhood or first love. The Braid is a symbol of unity, a keepsake for preserving tender memories and an expression of love. Take your jewellery off if you're involved in any activity which could scratch, knock or bend it. Much bending of metals can cause cracks that can end up with breaking. Metals can be worn in water but can change colour in geothermal water or water with high levels of minerals or oxides (sulfur). Cleaning the metals is not necessary unless you feel they have lost their shine. Then we recommed using a jewelry polishing cloth to rub off the tarnish. Please avoid using liquid jewelry cleaners as they can be toxic. Pearls are especially sensitive. Jewelry with pearls should not enter pool water (with chlorine), should not be in direct sunlight for long and should never be put in liquid jewelry cleaners.
