The Spikecross 6 GORE-TEX takes the seasonality out of your training schedule. Built on a tried-and-tested Speedcross fit, with full GORE-TEX coverage for extreme winter weather and 12 Tungsten spikes for reliable grip on a variety of wintery terrains - from soft to icy and everything in between.

Utilising a combination of anti-debris mesh and ripstop woven fabrics, the Spikecross 6 Shoes are a durable, long-lasting winter companion. The anti-debris mesh works to efficiently prevent dirt and debris from being trapped between your foot and the footbed, keeping you comfortable at all times. Not only this but the tight mesh allows you to remain cool by supplying your feet with an optimum level of airflow so you're bound to feel fresh throughout the duration of your run. Working alongside this, the shoes are made from a woven ripstop fabric, with additional reinforcements to prevent tearing, ripping and abrasion from occurring, providing you with a long-lasting, reliable pair of shoes. A waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps you dry and cool from the inside and out, protecting you from the elements so you can run fearlessly. The materials within these shoes are produced using recycled products; for instance, PET bottles or material waste. Utilising Salomon's Sensifit design, the shoes have a clever construction to provide you with a precise, optimal foothold and comfort. Completing the uppers of the Spikecross 6 is the Quicklace closure, making it exceptionally easy for you to tighten or loosen the shoes, and providing you with the iconic Salomon lace-up design that we all know and love.

The 6th version of these Spikecross shoes have an EnergyCell+ midsole. EnergyCell+ is a high-rebound midsole technology that delivers substantial cushioning and durability. This midsole compound provides superior cushioning, stability and motion control to provide an efficient, stable and responsive ride. Energycell+ works to provide exceptional energy return by absorbing shocks when the foot strikes the ground and using it to propel you forward in the next step, this works to improve your foot's natural gait. Whilst, superior cushioning is generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. The shoes deliver a 60% reduction in joint force, to deliver a great balance of cushioning resiliency and a smooth ride. Anatomically mirrored grooves match the anatomy of the foot that cushions, guides and propels the foot for an ultra-smooth forward transition ensuring a more fluid ride.

The Spikecross 6's still have the ultra-grippy Contragrip outsole, providing you with an unmatched level of grip and traction. This improved compound means the shoes will not only form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain but will work to shed mud quickly. This is due to their large lugs, therefore providing you with the perfect level of grip on all types of terrain, including wet and muddy conditions thanks to their deep lugs, which dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking the next stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking or changing direction. Enhancing the grip when out in snow and ice, Salomon has included 12 Tungsten spikes on each shoe to provide additional grip when walking in soft, compact snow and ice.
