Further enhancing the upper, are the engineered 3D overlays that provide strategic flexibility and strengthen the structure of the shoe. Finishing the upper is a secure lacing system that locks down the midfoot, helping you lace up with peace of mind that you are securely positioned on the platform.
PWRRUN MidsoleUsing even more of their innovative PWRRUN midsole in the Guide 17, Saucony have developed a midsole that will give you the next generation of cushioning. PWRRUN provides lightweight and springy cushioning to keep your feet comfortable at all times with just the right amount of softness, yet stays responsive enough to tackle as many miles as you wish. A broader platform and higher side walls put a focus on comfort and protection, whilst an asymmetric profile helps guide you through your gait. New CenterPath geometry keeps your feet straight and level, resisting medial motion for a ride that hugs the road. A PWRRUN+ sockliner further ups the cushioning, providing step-in comfort.
XT-900 OutsoleDeveloped to be hardwearing and grippy, the outsole of the Saucony Guide 17 Running Shoes has been constructed using a durable carbon rubber. This outsole offers exceptional traction and durability so you can continue with complete confidence. The rubber is able to form a solid connection with a wide range of different surfaces, giving you one less thing to worry about. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base for you to push off from, making your gait cycle more efficient. Reinforced in high-wear areas the outsole will withstand long-lasting wear. Lastly, multi-directional grooves are placed strategically to further secure your feet to the ground, and will also improve efficiency in takeoffs, landings, and changes of direction.
