Description
The classic 8-part BBC series from 1980 arrives on DVD for the very first time. God's Wonderful Railway follows three generations of the Grant family working on the Great Western branch line. Split into three different stories: 'The Permanent Way' is told during the construction of the line in the reign of Queen Victoria, 'Clear Ahead' shows us the line operating during Edwardian times. The final part, 'Fire on the Line' shows us the Second World War and how the Grant family and the line fair in that troubled time. Features subtitles for the Hard of Hearing.
