The North Face Terra 40 Hiking Backpack

The Terra Backpack proves once again that carrying heavier loads needn't be back-breaking. This classic trekking backpack, designed for many days on the trail, features a strategically patterned back panel, shoulder straps and hip belt that are both comfortable and breathable.

The Terra Hiking Backpack from The North Face has been created with a back panel, shoulder straps and hip belt that are strategically patterned to be both comfortable and breathable. The pattern reduces contact area and allows air to flow so that you can stay cool and comfortable throughout your hike no matter how hard it gets. The backpack has been coated with a DWR (durable water resistant) finish to provide weather protection in light showers. The main compartment of the bag can be opened through a large zip on the top panel, this has plenty of space to store your equipment. The backpack also includes an external stuff-it pocket with an S/R buckle for cinching down the front panel, to help reduce the size of the pack and reduce the movement of items. An internal, secure-zip pocket with a key hook, has been included for small essentials whilst two secure-zip hip belt pockets provide quick access to items. For quick hydration, the bag also includes two stretch-mesh water bottle pockets and an internal water bladder pocket. Offering a secure fit the bag includes a sternum and waist belt, the combination of the two helps to distribute the weight evenly for a lighter and more comfortable feel. Finishing the backpack and reducing movement inside, The North Face have included bottom compression webbing straps and side compression straps that can either cinch down the pack or hold a larger item such as a sleeping pad.
